Hello from Amsterdam! After waiting for 9 hours in the Addis Ababa airport our flight finally left. We have missed our original flight home. We will be leaving amsterdam and arriving in detroit around 3:30. not sure when our flight from detroit will get us home. we will call when we arrive in detroit. we will try to email this blog in detroit too. thank you for your prayers. Kidist is doing great and just had her first mcdondalds! She also experienced a little air sickness (all over Dad, oh well :). It was tough saying goodbye to the other adoptive families we were here with. Kidest got the biggest tears when she had to say good bye to her friends.

Bummer about missing connections and about the air sickness! We're praying everything falls into place from here on out.
Thinking about Kidist's goodbye tears makes me a little teary too....what a journey for that precious girl. Only our God can heal that kind of sad heart. Praise Him for that!!!!! Love you guys....so excited to see you and meet Kidist!!!

Sorry for the delays! That must be tough! Praying the rest of your flights are smooth and you can come home and crash! Praying for Kidist as she grieves her losses...

So glad you are doing well, for the most part.
For anyone waiting, we have it figured that they wouldn't get into Detroit until after 5pm and also may have a 5 hr layover. So that would put them in GR around 11ish. If I hear anything else, I'll let you know too!
Can't wait to hear about the whole journey.
