Good morning! We made it safely to Uganda! It was a long flight and we had trouble sleeping..., but everything went so smoothly..Chloe had a couple spills..one cup of pop and another of apple juice all over us...she was able to laugh the second time, even though she was a little wet! She did amazing with all the traveling! We were greeted by Steve Teisenga and Tim Sliedrects smiling faces! We all drove to a guest house in Kampala. WE got to sleep for our first time under mosquito nets; Chris said it felt like being in a big play pen. Chloe and I just got done eating breakfast..scrambled eggs and plantains which are like a fried banana...it was great. We slept great last night and are waiting for the 3 boys to get back. They left about 8:30 to get their vehicles which were getting fixed. We are excited to get on the road and see Uganda! It was dark (11:00pm) when we left the airport, so it was hard to see anything. It is a beautiful warm day today. We are going to try to update as much as possible. Thank you for the prayers...we have felt so covered. It was such a blessing sunday the be sent off in prayer by our church family at Hillcrest and our friends and family. We have felt such peace and know it is the prayers said on our behalf. Love and Hugs to CHristian, Trayton, and Kidist!! Kidist, we ate mcdonalds in Amsterdam...the same place you had your first french fries!

YEAH!!! So glad your travels went well on your way there! We had a blast with Trayton yesterday and can't wait to grab him tomorrow! We figured out when we thought you were landing (we were at the park on a beautiful fall day). He's such an amazing kiddo. THANK YOU for letting us spend time with him while you're gone! We'll continue to give him lots of hugs for you :).

We were just checking the site and Trayton wanted to write a note to mom, dad and Chloe ... "I love and miss you! I'm being a very good boy. I want you to write another update when you can. Have fun. I am having a great time ... even ate at Taco Bell today :)"
