At the airport

What an amazing day! We were blessed with a special morning of saying goodbye to friends and family at the cheeks home. Yes, a few tears were shed :)  These last few weeks have been so incredibly full. The last several nights we have been up after 2am preparing the 30 tubs, packed with our belongings, that will come to Uganda with us...tying up all the loose ends with SHINE and oh the list goes on. But today, it was simply beautiful to spend time with some of the special people in our lives who have walked beside us on this journey and oh how real this move became, as we said goodbye one last time. 

Here we sit at our gate with about an hour before we board. The trip to the Chicago O'hare airport was so smooth. We were transported by some awesome friends who helped load and unload all 30 tubs and 5 bike boxes into the airport, which also went so smoothly! Walked like a breeze through customs...were thankful Trayton didn't have any of his many 'carving' knives hidden in his carry ons!

 Dear friends and family...keep those prayers coming, they have been so felt today. We have peace, our kids are excited as they stand by the window peering at the Huge airplane we will be boarding soon! We are blessed. God is so good. Love and Hugs
