Child of Promise- Update

They arrived at the village. It was difficult at first, as he was not a perfect child...is there such a thing?  There was some forgiveness that needed to happen and it did. Praise God! This is what we were praying for; that his family would see the change we had seen in him during the short time we had known him. God is in the business of transforming lives and we believe He has great plans for this child of His. The Grandmother and one of his aunts, who is also living in the village, were so happy that he had returned. His aunt has agreed to make sure that he will be cared for in the village.

A common difficulty in Uganda is the absence of a Biblical understanding of Adoption/Foster Care. Too often, when a child is taken in by a relative, they are treated as a slave, even when the family has the means to provide for them.

It is our prayer that they truly will love him, care for him, and provide for his needs; that there will not be a repeat of what happened to him in the past when he was in the village.

Please continue to pray for this precious child of God.
