Growth- has been a theme this past month. Growth as in s.t.r.e.t.c.h.e.d.. far beyond what is possible in our own
strength. Growing together as a team through ups and downs, joys and sorrows. Amazing Growth of the FGW garden during dry season. The village school in Naigobya is gaining another classroom! Growth of the two little babes we are supplying with formula. The gaining of a foster family for our beautiful, friend JOY who is still full of joy! Spiritual growth of our friends in Naigobya. And growth of a family that God blessed with TWO more children.
Please lift our team mates; Mark, Stacey, Adelynn, and Janae up in prayer as they leave tonite to fly back to the US for medical treatment for their daughter, who has been struggling for some time now. Pray for our family as we will miss them all dearly. We have had children in tears for the last couple of days.
We are Praising God for raising up a Ugandan mother who desires to foster Joy! Joy is the one who we brought to Sole Hope. While she was there, they removed 427 jiggers. She is so happy to show everyone her hands and feet that are on their way to healing! We also praise God for the growth and survival of the two little babies we are supplying with formula. It has been awesome to see the mothers caring and loving these babies that are not their biological children. Pray for us as we seek to hire a social worker that will work with us in assessing the orphan situation in Naigobya. Soccer (football) club is in session! Chris and Patrick have been enjoying their time getting to know this group of young men. Pray God will open doors to connect on a deeper level with some of them.
And the last bit of news we have to share is about that family that has been blessed with two more children. Yes....that is us:) We are now fostering Josephine and Joseph (soon to be Noah) I will share more of their story the next time I blog. Joseph is about 1year and 9months. Josephine is somewhere between two and three. It is a God story and we can't wait to share. These two little ones have been in need of a family for quite some time. They were living in an office with a hired nanny who loved them for the last 8 months and before this their home was a village hospital where they were cared for by the nurses that would change with each shift. The organization that worked with this case is one that believes in reuniting and keeping children with their families. Sadly, this isn't always an option and this was the case with Joseph and Josephine. There was a lot of prayer and talk that went into this decision and it was exciting to see that the whole family was on board. The reality of going back to diapers, potty training, baby proofing the house, cutting up food, sippy cups....has been a bit shocking...but we know with time it will get easier. I'm realizing what my sister went through when she had the twins:) Toys are difficult to find here...so if anyone would like to send hard books, toys for two year olds...that would be a blessing!
We really would like to say thank you to those of you who are supporting us through prayer and financial support. We have seen God provide through your generosity and prayer in many ways recently. Thank You!! We wish each of you could be here to see what God is doing as you are such a big part of it! We all send our love, hugs, and thankfulness!
Chris, Michelle, Christian, Chloe, Trayton, Kidist, Isaac, Josephine, and Noah
More pics to come!
