Sunday we went with the Shaardas to Church in Obule. The church was in a large thatch roof hut with a dirt floor and wooden benches for seating. Children were all over.It was an amazing seirvice with alot of praise. They sure do know how to worship God in music and dance! The sermon was all translated in English. Because we were their guests, they had us stay after for lunch. This was our first time eating authentic Ugandan food. It was pretty good, except for something they called Atop...that was gooey like dough...and felt like it was mixed with sand..it literally crunched in your teeth. While we were eathing we were blessed to hear the testimony of the leaders in the church. Josh Shaarda had taught these men through the Timothy Leadership training and the impact that it had in their lives was incredible to hear. It changed their lives, their marriages, and their relationship with their children. Before they didn't know they needed to love thier wives..and they were cruel with their children and never considered them 'gifts from God'. After this, we had some coffee and icecream at the Shaardas and some time to talk. It was great.
At 4:30 we headed to the Guzzaldos for pizza and praise. Jim is a baker and he made his own earth oven in his back yard made of mud, bricks, and termite hills. This was his first time using the over...the pizza was awesome! Margaret usually plays her guitar, but we just sang with some music she had downloaded and then shared some praises and blessing from the past week. Please continue to pray for health..chloe was having a little tummy ache today. Tomorrow we leave at 5:30 am to climb Soroti Rock for the Sunrise...so she is really hoping to go. Much Love and Thanks...Chris, Michelle, and Chloe
Sorry, only 1 picture! For some reason it wouldn't let us post pics...maybe to weak of a connection?

Love the pictures. Keep them coming when you are able. I pray God is speaking loudly to you, that His plan for you is unquestionably clear, and not matter what that plan is, I pray for your courage to follow His lead, no matter how crazy it looks to others.
Chris, Michelle and Chloe,
You were big on my heart this morning. May the Spirit speak through your encounters with fellow believers, and those who don't yet know our Awesome Savior. Pastor Mark
